What Should I wear?
I would try and keep it pretty simple. Khakis and jeans are always great for photos. Pair it with one of your favorite simple shirts with colors that your family picks out.
Remember to pay attention to details such as your shoes. You will want to make sure they don’t clash with your outfit or your shoes aren’t scuffed up or dirty.
I typically do not recommend bold or stripe prints or patterns, clothes with words on it, turtlenecks, and too much accessories or jewelry. Short sleeves are ok, but I recommend not wearing sleeveless tops or tanks. Too much skin showing is distraction.
Should I get a haircut or do my nails right before my session?
Don't get your hair cut the day before your pictures. You will not know how to style it. Get it cut 1-2 weeks in advance, just in case don't try anything new or crazy either.
Pay attention to your nails. Make sure there is no dirt in your fingernails.
If you are going to a solon to get your fingernails done (for the ladies), don't do anything crazy.
I recommend no neon colors. Keep it as natural as possible.
How should I do my makeup?
Don't cake on the makeup. it is easier to take away blemishes than to take away lots of makeup in editing. You want your face to look fresh & fine, not cakey.
I just got a huge zit on my face beofre my photoshoot... what to do?!
First, do not worry! I can help you through this!
Don't worry about zits or blemishes on your face.
Using make-up in pictures is good, just not if it is too much. I do minor touch ups so if it’s bad, I can see what I can do to fix it!
